One short link for iPhone and Android

Send iPhones to the App Store, Android phones to Google Play, and everyone else to your website, all from the same link.

One link, the right destination for each device

Printing two QR codes, or asking people to "tap here for iPhone, here for Android", loses people. With device routing, a single Gajo link checks the visitor's device on every click and sends them to the destination you set for it.

Use only the slots you need. The operating system slots (iOS, Android) win over the device-type slots, and Default catches everyone else.

How it works

  1. Create a route template Choose the device slots you need, such as iOS, Android, and Default. Templates are reusable, so one "app store router" can serve every campaign.
  2. Connect it to a link in the Route Builder Pick a short link, attach the template, and enter a destination for each slot on a visual canvas.
  3. Share one link Each click goes to the destination for that visitor's device. The link's analytics show the device breakdown, with bots excluded.

Open the app when it's installed. Any slot can be an app deep link with its own fallback, so iPhone users with your app land in it, and iPhone users without it land on the App Store.

Set it up with the API

Create a reusable route template once:

curl -X POST https://gajo.io/api/v1/route-templates \
  -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "name": "app-store-router",
    "rules": [
      { "deviceType": "IOS" },
      { "deviceType": "Android" },
      { "deviceType": "Default" }
    ]
  }'

Then bind it to any of your links, with a destination for each slot:

curl -X POST https://gajo.io/api/v1/urls/YOUR_CODE/binding \
  -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "templateType": "Device",
    "templateName": "app-store-router",
    "endpoints": [
      { "slotKey": "IOS", "targetUrl": "https://apps.apple.com/app/example/id123456789" },
      { "slotKey": "Android", "targetUrl": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.example" },
      { "slotKey": "Default", "targetUrl": "https://example.com" }
    ]
  }'

Routing endpoints need a Pro API key. See the API docs for the full reference.
